About Calcs24
How these calculators are built, where the numbers come from, and what happens to the values you type in.
What this site is
Calcs24 is a collection of free construction and DIY calculators for the United States. You type in the measurements of your project, and the calculator shows the result together with the math behind it. There is no sign-up and no account.
Who publishes it
This site is published by ILION PROJECT SL, a company registered in Spain. You can find the company details on the contact page.
How each calculator is built
Every calculator shows its formula, so you can see how a result is reached instead of having to trust a single number. When a calculator relies on data, such as a coverage rate or a material specification, that data comes from the manufacturer or from the standard it is based on, and the source is cited.
Before a calculator is published, it is tested with control cases, which are examples whose correct result is known in advance. If a result does not match, the calculator is not published.
Results are estimates
The results are estimates. Real materials vary by manufacturer, by job site and by conditions, and no online calculator can know every detail of your project. Before you buy materials or start building, check the quantities with a professional and with your local building code. See the Terms of Use for more detail.
What happens to the values you type in
All calculations run in your own browser. The measurements you enter are not sent to our server. This site has no accounts, no forms, no comments and no blog. For details about the cookies and services the site uses, read the Privacy Policy and the Cookie Policy.
How the site is funded
The calculators are free to use. The site may be supported by advertising served by Google. Advertising does not influence how anything is calculated or which calculators are published.
